About Noah

I’m a up-and-coming photographer based in North Carolina. I’ve been taking photos for most of my life.

Born with a cataract in my left eye, I’ve lived with the absence of depth perception since birth. Without the ability to sense the distance between objects, everything presents itself to me as if it were on a flat plane— a picture. This provides me with a unique perspective, and an opportunity to capture and share this perspective using the medium of photography.

I’m able to put a camera to my eye and capture the world exactly as I see it: with everything laid out on a two-dimensional plane. From this perspective, objects interact in ways that challenge traditional notions of space. For me, trees sit directly beside the moon, and reach out sideways to touch it. A person across the street exists completely encompassed by the wall behind them. Reflections stretch downward over the surface of water, painting the inverted scene onto a moving canvas.

An entire dimension, hidden in plain sight from most, is my entire world.

My goal is to capture and share my perspective (hence the name of this project— Halfmysight) so that others might be inspired to see the world in ways they never have.
